Let’s take a closer look at
TEMPLATES YOU CAN USE TO BUILD IN KAJABI.
First of all, you can get templates to help you in many and very different situations.
SITE THEMES
You can have a template to determine a cohesive look for your overall site. This means in Kajabi terms, that you’ll have a templated look you can import to your account. Themes include all your important system pages (i.e. such as your login page, library page, 404, blog etc.). You can find these from your main menu, under pages-> website.
Note also, some of the pages under “website” can be replaced with landing pages and sometimes using landing pages can offer greater flexibility of use.
PAGES
There’s a wide variety of different kinds of standalone pages available for you to use. These are structured and designed for a certain purpose and you most likely will find one for every imaginable purpose. The most used are probably sales pages and homepages.
When constructed well, these templates will have enough sections in them so that you can pick and choose the most important to you and, of course, customize them to fit your purpose and audience.
BUNDLED PAGES, FUNNELS
These are in existence to make your life marketing your products considerably easier 😉👍. You can find different funnels pre-packed for you to include all the pages you would need to set up a funnel.
(!! Please note that to build your funnel to be fully functional, you’ll also need some emails, tagging, automations and all that jazz… Some of the page bundles do also have swipe files for email copy and can have other useful add-ons).
You’ll find a lot of different opt-in funnels, imaginative lead magnet funnels, creative sales funnels…
PRODUCT THEMES
You can find several types of different product themes structurally built for different purposes. Here you should look at the functionalities of the template.
Does your product require the theme to work in a specific way? This could be related to your course having lots of videos (previewing the content, filtering, layout for the product), membership needing different levels of achievement recognised (quizzes, badges, leaderboards) o maybe you have loads of delicious recipes to deliver to your members.
Gamification, listings of information included in the course/membership/podcast/community and certificates (just to name a few) could have an impact in your decision-making when choosing a product template.
OTHER
There is also a wide variety of other templates you might be interested in.
For example, you can get very good (and time-saving) templates your emails (for every occasion imaginable). And of course, you can get templates for your imagery also. You’ll surely find some to fit every mood, feel, niche, size, purpose, and probably some you hadn’t even thought about yet 😄. How to choose a template ?
Of course, I can and would be happy to help you in person to help you choose one that you’d get the best use from 😍👌.
But if you’d like to do some research of your own here are some top tips:
- if you’re looking to get everything done really, really soon, try and find one that has the right structure and has visual components that will not need to be altered too much (like backgrounds, elements behind photos or textblocks etc.). It might also have the right fonts in it 🤩.
- if you want it to be modified to represent your brand (voice, tone and visuals) more accurately, you’d want to look for clever structural hacks. The appearance of them can usually be altered, but if the placement, movement and size are close to perfect, a using that template will definitely save a lot of time. No need to bother too much about colors, fonts or images as such as they’ll all be customized.
- when choosing a product theme page, you need to really think about the delivery of your information. There are several good options on how to present all that to your customers. How would you like the course/membership portal to work for the end user? How are you encouraging them to stay the course and keep following your magnificent content?
What else will you need ?
Well, the content 😁. Whether DIYing or outsourcing making the template represent your business, you’ll want to have all your copy, images, videos, resource files and branding figured out and ready (varying a bit depending on the project).
A professional Kajabi expert (like me 😉) will help you in figuring out the details needed for customization in detail, and provide you with a portal to add all your materials as you get them ready for use in the template.
If you’re crafting your project on your own, you can of course take your time and create the needed assets as you go… But it’ll save you a lot (!!) of time to have those done in advance. It shatters your focus if you’re bouncing from one platform and software to another continuously stitching it all together as you go. And the end result will usually show as a bit of a higgledy-piggledy collage.
A bit of planning will save you heaps of time and money!
Will my page look like everyone else’s if it’s built on a template?
As with all customization, this really depends on how much time and effort you’re ready to put in.
If you’re in a hurry, it’s quite easy to just add your copy and images and change the colors and fonts of the page (the quickest option is to use Kajabi native fonts).
If you’d like more of your branding infused into the design, the template can be used as a wireframe for your new page. There might be features stacked in a particular way you like, or animations or sections in place that you fancy to have on your own page. But still, you’d like it to be modified on other places…

You can see how the mood changes with different brand colors. I also tinkered a bit with other visuals to enhance the brand visibility.
